Memoir of William Lowther 2nd Earl of Lonsdale (1787-1872).

Author's holograph MS. The latest date mentioned is 1 August, 1869 (p. 12), some time after which, apparently, the diarist retired from his professional attendance as personal physician to Lord Lowther. The latter who had been Post-master General in 1841, succeeded to the Earldom in 1844 and had been President of the Council in 1852. [See the Dictionary of National Biography]. Produced in London.
