Description

Photograph of an early 17th century case containin surgical instruments for amputation and trephination. The case is leather bound and has the initials A. P. stamped on the top. The item was purchased by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1928 and accessioned in 1936 (accession number R3653/1936). It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
