Dr Allan C. Tait was on the medical staff at Crichton Royal Hospital from 1953 to 1978; he was also Director of Clinical Research from 1954 to 1966 and Physician Superintendent from 1966 to 1978. Dr James Harper started working at Crichton Royal Hospital in 1947 before becoming Physician Superintendent in 1957 until 1966. Dr William T. McClatchy worked at Crichton Royal Hospital from 1949 to 1959.
