Biographical note
The Wellcome Trust Exhibitions Department inaugurated a three-year Artist-in-Residence programme in September 2000 which ran until September 2003. - September 2000 - March 2001: Andrea Roe
- March 2001 - September 2001: Aya Ben Ron
- September 2001 - March 2002: Alexandre Da Cunha
- March 2002 - September 2002: Gonzalo Páramo Pino
- September 2002 - March 2003: William Cobbing
- March 2003 - September 2003: Juan del Gado.
The residencies allowed artists to extend or create a practice related to biomedical science and/or the history of medicine. All residencies were research and development based and production occurred after completion of the residency. Artists received a studio at the Wellcome Trust, a fee, and access to resources at the Trust, including its Library.
