About this work
Description
Contents of George Fraser's folder so inscribed. Conference reports on work of the clinic.
'The Oxford Cancer Genetic Clinic: experience fo the first seven years', contribution to UICC (International Union Against Cancer) symposium in Kobe, Japan, 14-16 May 1997, detailing the experience of the clinic (1990-1996). Includes a modified version of poster presented at the 9th International Congress of Human Genetics, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 18-23 August 1996, amplifying the original poster by including the experiences of an eighth year (1997) and discussions of illustrative pedigrees.
Also includes offprint 'Familial Ovarian Cancer', by A. C. W. Lewis and B. C. C. Davison, The Lancet, (Aug 1969). This family produced multiple cases of cancer of the ovary and breast over several generations and members of this family were attending the Cancer Genetic Clinic in the 1990s (referred to in the 1997 presentation). Fraser notes that they were still attending in 2010.
