Description

Reproduction of a photographic portrait of Berthold Carl Seemann (1825–1871), German botanist and traveller. The portrait was possibly reproduced as part of Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930, an exhibition hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. There is a portrait of B. Seeman listed as exhibit no. 945 in the souvenir catalogue.
