Lectures and talks on penicillin

Papers relating to lectures and talks given by Heatley on penicillin at various events, including correspondence, programmes and some texts of his lectures (drafts, final versions, typescripts and manuscripts). The majority of lectures and talks were delivered at scientific and medical societies and clubs, universities, medical schools, colleges and schools (particularly in Oxford), conferences and symposia, in the UK, France and the USA. They cover the discovery and development of penicillin, role of Fleming, the Dunn School of Pathology, Oxford, "Microbes in industry", "Attempts to purify intrinsic factor", "A new kind of penicillin", microchemical methods as a research tool, and the early days of penicillin discovery.
