About this work
Description
Introduction to Gregory's 'Conspectus medicinae theoreticae', translated by William Wyndham Tatum. At the beginning the translator remarks 'I have endeavoured to give as literal a translation as the idiom of the language will allow, casting eloquence entirely aside'. On the last leaf he writes 'I beg to observe that I do not hold myself answerable for the spelling, it being written from my dictation only'.
