The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "A British concert party somewhere in the Middle East towards the end of World War One. A crude ‘set’ has been erected on bare earth, with a central folding screen placed centrally within which are ‘enthroned’ one man in drag, and another wearing an Ottomon costume which one may assume represents the Turkish leader Mehmet Resat V and his fifth wife. Six further ‘wives’ are seated on the ground, and are attended by a belly dancer and servant holding a fan. Caption to verso ‘The Giddy Pasha and his wives . Also Martha’."
