Photograph of eleven English dental charms and amulets: bag containing a crust carried by an old man for toothache; two moles feet carried in pocket for toothache, Norfolk; stone chasm for toothache, Ottery St. Mary, South Devon; teeth carried in a case for toothache, South Devon; stone used as a cure for toothache, Exmouth, Devon; work for teething from Gloucestershire and also from Warwickshire; bag containing pig's teeth, tied round the neck of an infant to facilitate teething, South London; calves' feet, worn to facilitate teething, London; orris root, used to assist teething East London and Norfolk; bag used as a charm for teething, S. Devon; stone used for teething, South Devon. The items were previously part of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum
