Reproduction of illustrations showing the evolution of the brain of the primates, including a primative mammal, gibbon, cercopithecus, macaque and gorilla for comparison. The illustrations were created by Edgar Ashworth Underwood (1899-1980), Director of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum and Library between 1946-1964, for the exhibition Prehistoric Man in Health and Disease held at Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1951.
