Correspondence and papers, including papers of Robert Lee (1793-1877) while in the service of Lady Caroline Lamb, and in Russia in the service of Prince Michael Vorontzov. The file includes:
1-29 Letters to Robert Lee (1793-1877) from various correspondents, including Sir Gilbert Blane (1-3), David Craigie (8, 10), Robert Edmond Grant (18), and Joseph Lister (24), 1817-1873.
30-175 Letters to Robert James Lee, almost all from his father Robert Lee (1793-1877). The letters are personal in character, including advice from Robert Lee to his son at school and reading natural sciences at Cambridge. The later letters are more related to medicine, and reflect Robert Lee's work on hysteria and other subjects, 1858-1869.
