The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Unidentified drag performer, early 1920s, almost certainly a member of the 'Splinters' troupe of ex-servicemen, who, having gained experience acting in drag with World War I concert parties, organized themselves into a commercial act and enjoyed great success performing at music hall well into the 1930s."
