    ingly dangerous. The fluid when thrown forward with force is liable to enter the uterus, causing thereby extreme pain, uterine colic, or alarming symptoms of nervous prostration and collapse. The “ Marvel ” discharges a half-pint of hollow whirling spray, which is more cleansing and effective than a gallon of injection used with any other syringe. Fountain syringes with their many parts and attachments are inconvenient, and those which discharge small pin-like streams or a light film of water are not effective, for the reason that the small stream, when injected, reaches only that part lying against the nozzle; the course of the liquid is turned and follows back along the pipe and escapes, and its intended effect is lost. Only with the u Marvelff can the vaginal walls be distended by the injecticn fluid, which is absolutely necessary in order to reach and remove the secretions in the folds.
