    _ ! . TO THE PUBLIC. In consequence of the numerous frauds and impositions prac- tised in reference to my medicine, I am again induced to change the form of my Bottles. In future the Panacea will be put in round bottles, fluted longitudinally, with' the following words, blown in the glass, S-wai.m's Panacea—Philxda.. as represented » above. These bottles are much stronger than those heretofore used, and will have but one label, which covers the cork, with my own signature on it, so that the cork cannot be drawn without destroy- ing the signature, without which none is genuine. The medicine may consequently be known to be genuine when my signature is visible; to counterfeit which -will be punishable as forgery. The increasing demand for this celebrated medicine lias enabled ■ me to reduce the price to Two Dollars per bottle, thus bringing it witfltn the reach of the indigent^ Mv Panacea requires no eucomirfm; its astonishing effects and ful operation have drawn, both from Patients and Medical Practitioners of the highest respectability, the mos.t -,in(<yj^j|M(^»^. probation, and established fbr it a character w\nc[>)£n7.>,»„%''*». though dipped in gall, can never tarnish. The faise reports concerning this valuable medicine, which have been so diligently circulated by certain Physicians, must have their origin either in envy or in the mischievous effects of the spuiuocs imitations. I leave the public to judge for themselves. The Proprietor pledges himself to the Public, and gives them jhe most solemn assurances, that this medicine contains neither ury nor any other deleterious drug. The Public are cautioned not to purchase my Panacea, except from myself, my ac .-edited agents, or persons, of known respecta- bility; and all those will consequently be without excuse, who shall purchase from any other persons.
