File contains primarily test result forms headed "gastric secretion". Each form, one for each experiment, has a number of printed fields which have been completed manually with the experiment results. Originally these papers were in a file marked "perfused stomachs 1949-1950", despite having earlier material. Details include:-
Handwritten details of an experiment dated 26 October 1948 - the first experiment.
Completed "gastric secretion" forms starting with experiment number S6, dated 5 November 1948, together with associated timing tables and graphs of test results. The last completed form dates from 2 November 1950.
Apparatus and test methodology notes.
Dye injection results.
A list of stomachs, "on hand".
A list of experiments to be performed, dated 1 March 1950.
A pH chart.
An address card from the Hoffmann-La Roche Research Laboratories based in Nutley, New Jersey, U.S.A., sent to Dr Jessee Thompson of the Nuffield Institute in Oxford, requesting a reprint of the article, "The Effect of Venous Occlusion on Arterial Blood Flow in the Extremities", which appeared in Surgery, vol.31, p551 (1952).
