Minute Book: Board of Directors, AGMs, EGMs

This volume contains minutes of meetings of the board of directors, AGMs and EGMs, and related papers such as agendas and reports. Meetings of the board of directors took place monthly for the most part, with occasional gaps of different length between meetings. Matters discussed include the administration of the company, the performance of the company, products and manufacturing, statutory matters, and matters related to personnel, in particular senior managers and directors. There is an index at the front of this volume. The closure of the company's factories at Boultham and Fiddlers Ferry was agreed at the meeting of 26 Sep 1928 (p. 22). A statement by Mr Hayward (a former employee) regarding the formulae of products made to a rival firm is noted on p. 73.
