Photograph 2 shows a performance of what may be either KET Wilkinson’s play ‘Love Laughs at Locksmiths’, or a play called ‘The Bow Street Runners’, performed in 1903; actors identified as HC Hunt (extreme left, with pipe), Dr Kemp, Sister Blanche, Oscar Rowntree, Mrs Frank Rowntree, Miss W Rowntree, Twyman, Mrs Pierce (wife of Bedford Pierce, the Retreat Medical Superintendent), and Mrs O. Rowntree. Photograph 3 may be ‘School for Scandal’. Photograph 4 shows a scene from an unidentified play and is dated 1911-1912 on the reverse, with all the actors identified: Bertie Mayer, Sister Gladys, Dr Kemp, Mrs Frank Rowntree and Mrs Pierce. Photograph 5 is of ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’, performed 23 January 1913. Photograph 6 is the play ‘Henry VIII, performed 23 January 1913.
