Description

Correspondence, reports, and minutes of meetings, concerning the introduction of water-based butane pressure-pack systems (to reduce the cost of formulations), a development already well-advanced in the USA. A report to the Managing Director by R M Mumford, "Pressure Pack Formulations - Cost Reductions" (1 March, 1962) notes that "In the USA, S C Johnsons have been selling 'Glade Mist' air fresheners since about November 1961".

"Tieing international aerosol knot," Chemical Week (10 February, 1962), pp. 55-57 - copy article announcing licensing agreement between Powr-Pak Inc (Bridgeport, Connecticut), Aerosol Packaging Co Ltd (Bracknell, Berks, UK), Aerocide Dispensers Ltd (Toronto), and Rochester Aerosol Corporation (Rochester, Michigan). Passage marked (p. 56): "Aerosol Packaging could deliver aerosol products to Germany for less than it would cost to make them there."
