About this work
Description
This extended political health zine written by a British wimmin's collective explores female sexuality in a cut-and-paste and handwritten format. Topis include herbal abortion, menstruation, and contraception (such as the controversial contraceptive depo-provera). DIY in spirit, the zine teaches women how to self-examine, abort herbally, ejaculate, and gives alternatives to menstrual products. With an eye toward history, writers explore women's loss of autonomy and the medicalization of health, contrasting this with its reclamation through projects like JANE and books like Cunt.
