Description
Four men sit or lie in bed. On the right, the padre, standing. The patients all have boxes containing the same materials, apparently for occupational therapy (cigarettes? crosses?). Two of the beds have a Red Cross sign at the foot with a name (one of the names is Caporale Bindo Barbetti). One of the patients shows a newspaper with headlines: "Ultissime. Le nostre truppe raggiungono Pordenone" (Latest news: our troops reach Pordenone)
