Description
Head and shoulders, in a frame decorated with intertwined guilloches, surmounted by a crown and three shields with motto "Beati pacifici" (from the gospel of Saint Matthew 5.9, "Beati pacifici quoniam filii Dei vocabuntur"). Below, orb, sceptre etc. with motto "Regere imperio populos" (from Virgil, Aeneid VI, "tu regere imperio populos, Romane, memento")
