Description
February 1728 newspaper cutting advertising Dr. Bateman's Pectoral Drops, patented and available from the Cluer's printing office in Bow Churchyard, London and by W. Dicey in Northampton and R. Raikes in Gloucester. The trademark of a boar's head surrounded by the words: "By the king's patent" is to the top of the text. The drops were also supposed to cure or help fluxes, spitting of blood, smallpox and rickets.
