Description

Printed at Caen and set at the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Délivrande de Douvres, at Douvres-la-Délivrande, a place of pilgrimage 15 km to the north of Caen. Roundels to left and right illustrate the history and miracles of the effigy (the latest dated 1773). The people praying before the effigy include a pilgrim (left) and a man on crutches (right). Around the statue hang votive offerings: an arm, a leg, and hearts
