Description

Trnasmission electron micrograph of calici virus. This group of viruses causes gastroenteritis in humans, and is transmitted by the fecal-oral route. Related viruses are responsible for the pneumonia-like disease calici in cats, and for the fatal rabbit haemorrhagic disease, being considered as a possible means of control of rabbits in Australia.
