About this work
Description
This moving and intimate documentary introduces a group of patients with varying degrees of Alzheimer's, all of whom are participants in Singing for the Brain groups. Singing for the Brain are singing groups set up by the Alzheimer's Society across Britain and provide welcome entertainment and therapeutic fun for patients with Alzheimer's and their families. Even patients who have quite severe memory loss and other Alzheimer's symptoms, often retain an excellent memory for song words and tunes and recent research shows that singing helps to slow the progress of dementia.
