Effigies S. Mariae Lauretanae. Attestazione. Attesto io sottoscritto Custode della S. Casa di Loreto, che il velo nero sigillato, & annesso a questa mia, sia stato indosso il Giovedi, e Venerdi Santo alla Sacra Statua Lauretana, epoi toccato nelle Sante Mura, nella Santa Veste, e nella Santa Scodella Beatissima Vergine, che si conservano in questa sua S. Casa. In fede & c. dat. in Loreto dalla Custodia questodi Bernardino Gaetini Custode.
The three last words of the lettering are the signature written in ink.
Translation of the lettering: Image of the Virgin of Loreto, Attestation. I, the signing guardian of the Santa Casa of Loreto, attest that the black veil which is sealed and attached to this has covered the Holy Statue of Loreto on Maundy THursday and Good Friday and afterwards touched the Holy Walls, the Holy Dress and Holy Plate of the Blessed Virgin, which are all kept in this, her Santa Casa (Holy House). In faith etc, given at Loreto by the guardian's office on this day, Bernardino Gaetini, Guardian
