About this work
Description
The programme contains three items. The first is about the current status of the Samaritans, their volunteer rates being the lowest for 3 decades. The second item is about brain scanning. Humans are the only animals with asymmetrical brains which is thought to be why we have language. However, some people have symmetrical brains and new research points to this being a factor in psychotic illness. The third item is about whether or not fish is good for the brain as it seems that fish oils can decrease depression and help treat those with mental illnesses or learning difficulties such as dyslexia.
