"Practically this translation represents a new edition, a considerable amount of new matter, which did not appear in the fifth German edition, having been added by Professor Binz, and a number of errors which occurred in the latter having been corrected". The translator has also added preparations which are in the British and U.S. pharmacopoeias, but not in the German.
