An elaborate graphic exposition combining colours, figures and diagrams. The left side has a green ground covered with of red slops of wine containing wine bottles and glasses, with the slops forming vignettes of the effects of alcoholism: illness and death, madness, accidents at work and on the roads, neglect of property, debts, and taxation. The right side by contrast has a yellow ground covered with blue budding foliage containing fruit: the foliage forms vignettes showing the benefits of temperance, including a healthy family, educated children, sport and exercise, a new, modern residential block in the style of Le Corbusier, and a sailing boat on a lake representing leisure and holidays
