Panelli, Francesco (& another)

Segreti di diversi specifici per Vantaggio della salute, tanto in Fisica, come in Chimica e Spargirica. The first part (pp. 1-88) is anonymous, and probably written about the middle of the second half of the 17th century. The author of the remainder is Francesco Panelli, who on p. 131 has an entry headed 'Polvere odontalgica finissima inventata da me Frano. Panelli': his name also appears on pp. 143, 185, 193, 220. This section seems to have been written in 1747 (p. 168) and 1748 (p. 199): there is also an addition on p. 203 dated 1750. On p. 223 is a pen-drawn figure of a 'Medaglia Joviale', and on p. 231 of a 'Talismano di Saturno'. Besides medical receipts, the second part also contains some entries for the making of varnishes, artificial gems, etc.

1 volume 1 l. + 286 pp. 8vo. 131/2 × 191/2 cm. Modern vellum binding. The lower half of the original (?) first leaf has been cut off, and a new half joined on.
