The fifth in a six-part series following the work of 'bionic vet' Noel Fitzpatrick. At his multi-million pound centre in Surrey, Noel is devising and using new surgical techniques to save and imporve the lives of thousands of pets from all over the country. He invents various kinds of prostheses to help animals with physically disabling conditions. In this part, he corrects a bone deformity in a puppy's front legs, helps a collie and a cat who've been hit by cars and trains a labrador who has had a hip transplant.
