About this work

Description

Pratique de médecine raisonée. There are four main sections, with separate pagination: I. Anatomie, ostéologie. II. Choix de remèdes. Traité des fièvres. III. Abrégé des maladies du ventre inférieur. IV. Maladies de la tôte, des yeux, narines, oreilles, dents, poitrine, etc. The MS. contains a collection of extracts and notes mostly in French, but a few in Latin. These are dated between 1707 (Part II, p. 135), and 1734 (Part IV, p. 223). There are marginal notes of cases in the author's practice, receipts, etc. Most of the contents consist of extracts from late 17th cent. authors; the works of Chirac are frequently quoted.
