Description
8 pharmaceutical labels pasted onto a sheet of paper for products sold by Joseph Stanley or Stanley & Co. at 9 Upper Parade, Leamington. They would have originally been stuck onto bottles or tins of: Lavender water, British eau de Cologne, Bouquet de la reine, Carbonate of soda, Finest castor oil (cold drawn), Camphorated tooth powder, Dr. Gregory's Mixture, or, Aromatic stomachic powder and Odoriferous dentifrice (for beautifying the teeth and preserving them from decay). A detailed price list of phials, feeding bottles, syringes, plaisters, pill boxes, seidlitz and soda boxes, vesta matches, plaister skins, ceramics etc. as sold by The Druggists' Sundries Company, proprietors, Centreton & Co. (est. 1836) of 1 Martin Street, Eagle Street, City Road, London. A list has been written on the back on December 1 1853 indicating it to have been published about then.
