About this work
Description
The first item on the programme is about borderline personality disorder, a term coined by psychologist Adolf Stern in 1938 which covers a wide range of disorders from psychosis to schizophrenia. A person with BPD is not able to change their personality to fit with the changes that come about in their lives and circumstances; their limited range of behaviours and attitudes cause stress to themselves and those around them. The second item is about face technology taking place at The Dana Centre at the Science Museum in London. There is a 3D face changing technology company called Digimask and a digitally created character who can interact with and recognise human behaviour. The last item on the programme is about superstitions and investigates how and why we put any faith in superstitions beliefs.
