Description
The series is presented by Professor Robert Winston (Hammersmith Hospital, London) and looks at many aspects of the lives of twins, from conception to old age. In Part One he meets Siamese twins in Philadelphia, born in 1961. They talk about their lives. A brainscan shows that they share large amounts of brain, but not the same thought processes or physical sensations. Also taking part in this episode are 63 year old twin men, an artist fascinated by twins and two women awaiting the birth of twins. Prof. Winston discusses the embryology of twins and the births of the 2 sets of awaited twins are shown.
