Injected fibroblast cells in culture

Neighbouring 3T3 fibroblast cells in culture have been injected with either FITC-dextran (green) of Texas Red-dextran (red). This picture shows that cells that are in contact with one another have stopped growing a result. This is called contact inhibition.
