Notes

Final leaf contains advertisements for pamphlets which are "London printed; and sold by E. Rider ... Dublin".
Arbor vitae [prose version]: pp. 3-11.--Arbor vitae ... versified: pp. 13-22. Verse version begins: "The tree of which I fain would sing", distinguishing it from another verse version with the same title beginning "Thou God, to whose great memory".
Kearney (Private case, no. 1749) attributes the prose version to Stretzer, but not the two verse versions.
The prose version previously appeared as 'The natural history of the arbor vitae' in 'The ladies delight' (1732), accompanied in the 1st ed. of that work by "The tree" verse version and in the 2nd and 3rd eds. by "Thou God" version.
ESTC lists only another ed. of the same year, with imprint 'London: Printed for E. Hill' and pagination [4], 16, 19-21, [1] p. (ESTC T139074)
