The purpose of this film was to disseminate a report by the BMA in 1935 on the revised principles of treating fractures. The four principles the film would like to uphold in the care of the patient is segregation, continuity of supervision, after-care and unity of control. The film continues with details of the case histories. The fracture clinic is shown with the Chief Medical Assistant in attendance. Upper limb fractures are listed followed by a case history of each outlined in the intertitles together with radiographs (x-rays). The plaster cast is applied, then some weeks later removed. A new x-ray is taken and then another cast applied. The second time this is a 'Gypsona' bandage. The patients make good progress and demonstrating their mobility/dexterity. (There are three case histories on this reel.) 1 segment.
