Description
The first in a two-part series in which author Terry Pratchett confronts his diagnosis of a rare form of Alzheimer's disease, Posterior Cortical Atrophy (PCA), over the course of a year. Pratchett talks very frankly about his feelings about the diagnosis and how the disease is affecting him. He donated £1000 000 to the Alzheimer's research foundation and visits Kings College London where new drugs are currently being trialed as potential cures for Alzheimer's. Whilst there Pratchett is also shown around the research laboratories. He tries out every alternative treatment he come across and has his amalgam fillings removed.
