About this work
Description
Recent research suggests that 1 in 20 hospital patients is the victim of a medical mistake - this programme asks whether or not Government spending plans to improve NHS services are delivering what they promise? The programme looks in particular at how nurses and medical students have less education about medicines than they used to, thus drugs are frequently administered incorrectly. Can drug companies themselves help to prevent misshaps by having closer control of the wording on their packaging, and should Government controls be more effectively in place?
