Description

Bible. O.T. 1 Kings 3.16-28: "Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him ...". The dead infant lies on the steps before Solomon; the soldier to the roughly clasps the living child in his right hand and unsheaths his sword. One of the women is pointing to this scene, while the other points to the dead baby, beseeching Solomon
