About this work
Description
Alder Hey opened in 1848, earlier even than Great Ormond Street, making it the oldest children's hospital in the UK. Each day around 200,000 patients are seen, one third of which are in the Accident and Emergency department. Mark Porter visits the Liverpool hospital and finds out about the range of treatments there.
