About this work
Description
The first in a two part series in which Graham Easton joins a surgical team as they begin a life-saving operation. In this part we follow the operation from the perspective of vascular surgeon, Roger Greenhalgh at Charing Cross Hospital, London, and his patient, Ted Hodges, who has an aortic aneurysm. A new technique is being used for this operation, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) which means that Ted will stay awake as the surgery takes place.
