About this work

Description

One of a series entitled "Teenage Talk-in". Communication, or rather the lack of it, between teenagers, their peers and adults is shown. The film dramatises the experiences of four teenagers in a variety of situations which reflect their need individually for positive communication with those about them. The adults come across as exceptionally irritable, inhibited as well as being poor communicators. Teens are shown living in a parrallel world, being exposed to magazines and commercials, but being unable to discuss some of the issues which arise with their parents. Seems to end quite dramatically as a mother slaps her daughter round the face.
