About this work
Description
The fifth in a 6-part series about complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). This part looks at how certain problems associated with CAM therapies might be overcome. These problems include the over-looking of serious medical conditions which need immediate 'conventional' medical treatment, a body to control who is sufficiently trained to actually practise as a CAM therapist. How does regulation in the CAM world copaare with the conventional medical world? How have internal political power struggles within CAM slowed progress in this area? We hear too from students of CAM at different stages of their training.
