About this work

Description

Originally located in Albany (from 1851), the asylum moved to a new building in Syracuse in 1855. It is depicted as a large building, placed on an eminence, with an Italianate central tower and two end-wings. It was demolished in the 1870s: information from Web page "A short history of hospitals in Syracuse", 1999
