About this work

Description

The World Health Organisation has called the rising numbers of obese people in the developed world 'a global epidemic.' In Britain, it is estimated that 1 in 3 people in Britain are obese. This is having huge implications on the average person's life span as well as putting strain on NHS resources. Peter Evans looks at the physiological and psychological causes of obesity and why the obvious answers of eating less and exercising more just don't seem to work.
