About this work
Description
The first section describes how the natural ability of molecules to fold back and cut themselves showed the way to developing the laboratory technique of gene shearing. This technique makes it possible to solve health and growth problems in plants and animals and, potentially, in humans. The second section shows a practical application of gene shearing in the Australian development of a vaccine against cattle tick. Each section is shown twice, with pauses for audience discussion.
