1889 magazine insert advertising the Pure Water Company's aerated Puralis distilled water, ("non-intoxicating") orange champagne, lemonade, seltzer, quinine water, ginger ale, potash, tonic lemonade, soda, lithia, ginger punch and home-brewed ginger beer. Distillation is stated as being purer than boiling or filtering and removes the dangers of typhoid fever or diphtheria that a contaminated water supply can cause.
